We are seeking to recruit a Deputy Children's Home Manager to work at our home based in Nottingham!

About the role

Under the direction of the Registered Manager. You will work with young people aged 8 to 18 with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD) within the Mapperley, Nottingham area. The Home provides a holistic, safe, stimulating and supportive family environment where children/young people cared for can live, learn and develop.

Candidates should possess and be able to demonstrate strong management, leadership and organisational skills, together with a relevant NVQ Level 3 or Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce Diploma or equivalent qualification. Sufficient experience will also be required to enable you to function at this level. Successful candidates should be willing to pursue and complete further professional training such as the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare. You must also have an up to date training portfolio and have a good knowledge of Safeguarding children with social, emotional, behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviour.

You will also be required to be flexible with the working hours and you may be placed on call. Hours may vary within the week to include weekend and evening cover work as required. Your role may require you to attend evening meetings and shifts.
