Job Title:          Assistant Preparation Cook 

Location:          Bramfield House School, Halesworth, Suffolk

Hours:              16 hours P/W Monday- Thursday  

Salary: Up to £6,100

 

Are you super-efficient with some experience in catering?

We are looking for a really special person, committed and passionate and able to foster strong trusting relationships staff and children alike, but super-efficient and committed. You may have a background in catering or you may be aspiring to work in the sector and want the first step on the ladder.

 

About the School

Bramfield House School is an independent residential special educational needs school for boys aged 7 – 16 years who have social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours, located in rural Suffolk. The School has a committed and innovative multidisciplinary team, extensive site and excellent facilities to support both learning and extra-curricular activities; we are in a great position to provide our pupils with the best education and care possible.

We need highly-motivated people to keep our boys healthy and our kitchen running efficiently.

About the Role

This role is an assistant role to the school cook. You will be preparing meals for the evenings and helping to serve and make nutritious meals for our boys.

 

Who we are looking for?

No two days are the same at Bramfield House so we want people who can work at pace to turn ‘can’t do’ into ‘want to’ and are motivated by working in a fast pace environment. 

Whilst previous experience of working in catering would be desirable, the right motivation, and personal qualities are also important. You will need to be organised and efficient and be able to work in a team.
