Job Title: Payroll Administrator 

Contract Type: Full-time/Perm/37.5 hours

Location: Bolton

Salary: £17,500 per annum

 

About the Role

We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join an established team based in Bolton. You will be part of a busy payroll department processing payroll for our 49 companies and approximately 5000 employees.

You will ensure an accurate and timely in-house payroll production in accordance with statutory regulations. You will also be the first point of contact for payroll queries and will provide advice to staff and managers in relation to pay, taxation and National Insurance. 

 

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in payroll or a finance related environment. You will have flexibility, planning skills and the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of auto enrolment and pension schemes as you will be assisting with the administration of all the company pension schemes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be liaising with multi-disciplinary staff.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of working in payroll or a finance related environment
  • Strong Microsoft and Excel skills
  • Able to demonstrate aptitude of using figures
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of Cascade payroll would be an advantage but not essential
