HR Administrator

Salary:              Up to £8,082 dependent on experience

Location:          Falkland House School, Falkland Estate, Falkland

Hours:              Part Time, 2 days per week

Contract:          Permanent

We are looking for an Administrator to join our School.  Someone with experience of a school environment would be perfect for this role.   

 

About the School:

Falkland House School is an in independent residential school for boys from primary to aged 18 years.  Our pupils have a range of Additional Support Needs including emotional and behavioural difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.  We were the first independent school in Scotland (outside of the NAS) to receive accreditation from the National Autistic Society.

About the Role:

You will be the first point of contact for employees on any HR related query including handling the majority of employee documentation such as contracts, recruitment paperwork/starter packs.  You will be responsible for maintaining and updating employee records. You will undergo training on Cascade and Reach computer systems to enable you to do your role effectively. Part of your role will be to raise and process orders through the Focal Point system.

 

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a reliable, honest, hardworking person to join our existing admin team.

The successful candidate will require to have relevant payroll experience and a good knowledge of employment law. They will require to be fully aware of all aspects of confidentiality and GDPR regulations.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of payroll including sick pay, maternity leave, staff contracts etc
  • Good knowledge of employment law.
  • Experience working in an HR role.   
  • Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the school team
  • Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner
  • Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with any unexpected problems that arise
  • Excellent people skills
