Service Overview:

Options Adult Autism Services North provides residential care and education to young people and adults with autism based from various sites across the North Lincolnshire region. We are in easy commute of Winterton, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Crowle, Gainsborough, Grimsby & Cleethorpes, Immingham, Killingholme, Hull, Hessle, and surrounding areas.

Job Summary & Duties:

As a Nights Support Worker, this key position provides daily, quality care to young people and adults with Autism and would suit an experienced carer or someone looking to start their career within the Health and Social Care Sector as full training is provided. This varied position requires flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including every other weekend with working hours available for full time nights.  This vacancy is located at Options Watermill, Common Road, Wressle, Broughton, North Lincolnshire, DN20 0DA.

Following a thorough induction and training programme, your duties as Support Worker would include:

  • Supporting learning experiences at home and in the wider community
  • Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living
  • Encouraging participation in daily tasks
  • Reporting and recording key aspects of care
  • Managing complex and challenging behaviour

Key Skills Required:

  • Qualified to or prepared to study for Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care for Adults or equivalent
  • Keen to work with young people and adults with autism and associated difficulties
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Have the flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including weekends
  • Ideally hold a valid UK driving licence or have transport to and from work
