Night Child Support Worker

Location:        Falkland House School

Salary:            Up to £15,188 dependent on experience

Hours:            Monday to Thursday - 8.40pm to 7.40am

           Friday to Sunday

           Plus School holiday 9.30pm - 8.30am

Contract:        Permanent, Part Time

 

We're looking for a Night Child Support Worker to join our School. Someone with relevant experience of Autistic Spectrum Disorder would be perfect for this role.

 

About the School:

Falkland House School is an independent residential school for boys from primary to aged 18 years.  Our pupils have a range of Additional Support Needs including emotional and behavioural difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.  We were the first independent school in Scotland (outside of the NAS) to received accreditation from the National Autistic Society.

 

About the Role:

Shifts will be worked on a 4 week rota system.  hours will be Monday - Thursday 8.40pm to 7.40am.  Weekends Friday - Sunday and School holidays 9.30pm - 8.30am.

Responsibilities will include undertaking regular checks on pupils and keeping night logs and registers updated. Light cleaning duties will be required.

Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to remain awake all night to ensure the safety and protection of pupils overnight
  • Driver of manual vehicles
  • Willing to work towards necessary qualifications in accordance with the minimum requirement for registration as determined by the Scottish Social Services Council
