Trip to the Isle of Wight

On Monday 14th July we left Worthing on the start of our holiday to the Isle of Wight.

After taking the ferry over, we found our chalet and then went for a steam train ride at Haven Street. We looked around the old steam engine and wagon shed and saw some of the old carriages being repaired. We enjoyed a walk along the beach before going back and sitting on the balcony.

On the second day we visited Osborne house. The house was exactly as it was when Queen Victoria died. We even saw the bedroom where she died! We then went for a walk around the gardens, which were beautiful. We walked down to Queen Victoria’s private beach, and sat in the deck chairs watching the boats sail by, while enjoying an ice cream.

During the rest of our stay we went to Alum Bay to make sand sculptures, had a boat ride to the Needles, went to a glass blowing demonstration as well as visiting Amazon World.

All in all it was a very enjoyable and successful trip
