The Restraint Reduction Network is a charity with a strong vision – to reduce reliance on restrictive practices by sharing their expertise and resources, the quality standards and practical tools that support reduction.

Significant importance is placed on understanding the needs, wishes and aspirations of each individual we support, placing them at the heart of everything we do and ensuring they receive the highest quality person-centred care.
To demonstrate its commitment to those we are trusted to educate and care for, Outcomes First Group submitted a Pledge to the Restraint Reduction Network to illustrate how the group will continue to reduce restrictive practices and implement new procedures and practices to ensure the best outcomes for all.
As part of the Pledge, Outcomes First Group has established a Group wide restrictive practice leadership board with senior clinical, operations and quality teams, who will report to the independent Safeguarding and Quality Committee throughout the year.
Outcomes First Group has implemented a Group wide reporting process to monitor and review the use of restrictive practice.
In addition to this, Outcomes First Group is moving to a Group wide consistent approach to restraint training and is providing clinically led therapeutic parenting training to all staff, as well as development training on autism and neurodiversity.
Through the new membership with the Restraint Reduction Network, Outcomes First Group will benefit from a range of resources and materials that our teams can utilise, as well as receive the latest news, updates and guidance. Outcomes First Group will also have discounted access to the Restraint Reduction Network’s conferences and events to learn from experts within the sector and network with other members to share knowledge, ideas and best practice.
