We are delighted to welcome a new Manager at our Cornwall Service Options Kernow.
Angie Warne has been with Options Kernow for 3 months. Angie is managing the service which proivdes supported living to adults in Cornwall.
“My first 3 months with Kernow have been wonderful. I am so happy to be here and feel that everything I have done previously has led me to Options.”
Angie had this to say about her staff team “The team are all welcoming, friendly and so approachable. The skill base among the staff team is amazingly high and the depth of experience is so varied.
The Deputy and senior support workers are very open to working together to shape areas within the services and we have already considered and changed several things, mostly small things, little steps.”
Angie has already come into contact with a number of service users.
“One extremely moving moment for me was when I was first taken to a service to meet with a gentleman we support who lives in his own home; I was completely taken aback, the home was beautiful and the gentleman was full of smiles and very relaxed – just as it should be. As I previously worked within residential settings, it just highlighted how wonderful it was to ‘truly’ have your own home!”
With regards the future with Options Angie has high hopes; “I am very much looking forward to the future and working with people who share the same ethos and passions as I do and for a company that is forward thinking – exciting times!”
