Norton College Worcester and Norton College Tewkesbury join the Outcomes First family

Outcomes First Group has announced the acquisition of two secondary school sites in Worcester and Tewksbury to join their Acorn Education brand.

Norton College Worcester and Norton College Tewkesbury have a well-established reputation for providing a bespoke learning environment and excellent academic and vocational facilities. Led by Executive Headteacher, Rebecca Kenny and Heads of School Rodney Goold and Helen Ferguson they will join Acorn Education, the UK’s leading provider of specialist education and residential care for children and young people with behavioural, emotional, social or learning needs.

Richard Power, Chief Operating Officer at Outcomes First Group said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome the teams from Norton College Worcester and Norton College Tewkesbury to our wider family.  We are delighted that we will now be able to educate more vulnerable young people across the region from the West Midlands down towards the South-West.”

Norton College Worcester was set up in 2010 by a local Headteacher, Ian Hardicker, supported by the other founding shareholders Edward Morris, Jacky Powell and Sam Fletcher. Building on the success in Worcester, Norton College Tewkesbury was established in 2018. Both schools were rated Good by Ofsted in 2022.

Commenting on the decision to bring the Norton Colleges into OFG, Edward has said, “We are confident that OFG will continue to ensure that the best interests of our students remain paramount and that it is the right organisation to work with Rebecca and her team to continue the development of the Colleges. We wish them all the very best for the future.”
