This year the Head Office team decided to donate the money they would normally spend buying Christmas cards to send to each other, to charity.
In the office we strung a ribbon with festive pegs on it and each wrote a message on a gift tag or Christmas card and displayed it for all to see. We then nominated charities we would like to like to support and ‘Crisis At Christmas’ was selected.
We were delighted to have raised £80. This enabled us to buy three Christmas meals for a homeless person at £22.29 per meal and contributed to a fourth.
Whilst we were very happy to be able to give something to those less fortunate than ourselves, it was also a great way to ensure that every penny donated went directly to charity – and saved us time writing Christmas cards!
