Home Manager at Ramsey House shortlisted for a Great British Care Award

Luke Taylor, Manager at Ramsey House, has been shortlisted for a Great British Care Award.

The Care Home Registered Manager award recognises a manager who has a clear vision in developing person-centred care, demonstrates a high level of expertise with exceptional skills managing a home and supports the whole team in meeting the individual needs of the children.

Nominated by Ainsley Stone, Assistant Children’s Home Manager at Ramsey House, she said: “Luke goes above and beyond to ensure that staff feel valued. Should the team face difficult challenges, Luke will call them privately and offer his advice and support. He brings in treats to show appreciation to the team and if the team have had late nights he will order pizzas and desserts to be delivered.

“Since he has joined Ramsey House, the staff have commented on how empowered they feel. Luke has worked hard to create a family feel within the home and this has been commented on by people visiting the home.

“Luke ensures that the young people’s views are listened to, and acted on. He takes time out of his day to play on the games console with the kids, cooks for them or gets involved in their hobbies.”

Huge well done to Luke on the shortlisting and for his commitment, dedication and support to the team and children supported at the home. He is an inspiration to all!

Luke will be interviewed on 26th November. Following this, the judges will review all the candidates and make the decision of the winner at the Gala Evening event on Thursday 29th April 2021 at East Midlands Conference Centre.

Wishing Luke good luck!

Ramsey House is part of the Acorn Education division at Outcomes First Group.
