Support Worker – Kernow

Hillcrest Supported Living and Domiciliary Care Service is a pioneering service aimed at supporting people with learning difficulties in their own home.

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker based in and around the St Austell area. Some services are 1:1 support and in other services you will work as part of a small team in a 3:1 capacity. You will be a proactive individual who is motivated to meet individual needs and experienced in managing challenging behaviour, unusual situations and have the ability to respond to an emergency.  If you want to work in an environment that encourages and supports a person centred service then we would like to hear from you.  Experience of supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Positive Behaviour Management, Dementia and a knowledge of Autism would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

Due to the intimate level of personal care required, only female staff can be considered for interview. This is a genuine occupational requirement of the role and is therefore exempt under the Equality Act 2010.

Full UK Driving Licence, use of a car and Class 1 business insurance is essential.
