Baston House School unveils new block

Pupils and staff at Baston House School gathered to preserve a snapshot of history as they buried a time capsule.

Staff and pupils at Baston House School celebrated the opening of their new ‘Gould Block’.

The block was unveiled by Dr Judith Gould who specialises in autistic spectrum disorders. The Mayor of Bromley Cllr Julian Benington was also in attendance.

To commemorate the event a time capsule which contained a prospectus, toys a school uniform and photos, was buried in the grounds outside the new building.

Our Principal Chris Kistan Said: “The naming of the block gives us an opportunity to recognise the achievements of a member of the local Bromley community, Dr Gould.

Gould Block is a physical representation of the success of the school in achieving what we set out to do; to change and celebrate the lives of learners and their families by creating a safe, fun environment preparing them for a successful and productive life.”
