Regulation & Compliance
All of our services are registered with and inspected by the appropriate governing bodies within the education and social care sectors, including: DfE/Ofsted or Welsh Assembly/Estyn for schools; Ofsted and Care Quality Commission (CQC) for care services in England; and the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) for children’s and adult’s services in Wales.
The Quality Managers for each division carry out audits to highlight any areas for development and to ensure compliance with regulations, the findings from audits inform what actions are to be taken.
Actions are then monitored through the info exchange system to demonstrate all appropriate measures have been taken. This forms part of the organisation’s approach to quality assurance.
In addition, we regularly audit the performance of our services using independent visitors, such as school improvement partners and Reg 44 visitors, and internal systems including self-assessment and cross service inspections.
For the latest inspection reports please see the service pages.

All staff must pass an enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) before commencing employment. Recruitment, development and appraisal policies and practice ensure that staff skills and abilities are closely matched with the requirements of their roles.
