A Visit from Down Under

On Tuesday 21st April Hillcrest Steps hosted a visit from a delegation of childcare professionals from Melbourne, Australia, at the request of Jonathan Stanley and ICHA.

The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare is a not-for-profit body representing small, medium and large community service organisations across Victoria.

These include the voice of children and young people, and specific programs for foster care, kinship care and residential care. They also work and advocate for better transitions for young people leaving State care.

After a brief explanation of our service and a Q & A session, the children took our visitors on a tour of the home and garden before we all enjoyed lunch in the garden, then our visitors departed on the next leg of their study tour.
